about

‘August 21, 2017’, is a special Waning Gibbous track, likely the only one to appear in the canon not recorded on a full moon. Instead, this extra piece was added to the timeline of Waning Crescent as a total solar eclipse passed over the continental United States, on August 21st, 2017. Carried by synth and fuzz bass recorded directly following the celestial event, the 8 minute track also features a field recording captured over the period of second contact, totality, and third contact.
